Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union
Digital Signage System

SCOPE: Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union (SMCU) had deployed Digital Signage in the Downtown Main Branch; however the content was generic information not specific to SMCU. SMCU's vision was to create their own content, use generic content with SMCU branding, and roll out to all Branches. SMCU also wanted to modernize the look of the signage in the Downtown branch by replacing CRT Monitors with flat screen LCD Monitors.

Avidex, in partnership with Captive Indoor Media, formulated a plan to put new flat screens in the Downtown Branch running internet provided content from Captive Indoor Media. This approach allowed SMCU to upload their own content, have generic content with branding, and a RSS feed that provides updated news and weather. After 2 months of use, the decision was made by SMCU to roll out the solution to all branches - replacing or enhancing the other traditional ways of marketing including brochures, display signage, and web content. The rollout of Digital Signage has provided a coordinated, uniform, and visually attractive means of providing information to their members. Because the content is provided via the Web, it is convenient and easy for SMCU Marketing to update, change, or reschedule content to all the Branches.
