UC Berkeley- Andersen Auditorium
Andersen Auditorium is a 299 seat lecture hall that is home to classes, special functions and guest speakers. The audio-visual system required a major upgrade that needed to be completed by the Fall semester 2005. The system was designed by San Francisco consultants Shen Milsom Wilke and Avidex was awarded the contract in the Spring of 2005 with work to commence over the summer break.
The new AV system allows for touchscreen control of the multi-media presentation from either the professor's lectern or by a technician in the projection booth. All 299 seats have a clear view of the brilliant 14' x 19' video image on the large screen and the audio system is supported by two 3 stacked line-array speaker systems on either side. The auditorium provides speech reinforcement for the presenter, 4 panelists, questions from the audience and 6 mobile presenters on wireless systems. The versatile audio system can be set to a tech mode with expanded capabilities like more sources to select from, recording capabilities with seamless switching, and manual mixing.
"Avidex professionally integrated our state-of-the-art AV system into an existing facility and provided an excellent finished product. They worked hand-in-hand with campus contractors to provide a smooth and efficient installation. Avidex was able to effectively coordinate the challenges of the work environment to the specifications of the end-user. We were able to meet our tight schedule, stay on budget, and enjoy a smooth and seamless installation."
