Unparalleled changes in health care demand that nursing colleges have the most advanced learning environment available. The Clinical Performance Laboratory technology is central to the goals of the Seattle University and the College of Nursing. The center aspires to become the cutting-edge nursing practice center in the United States.
Each exam room has two ceiling-mounted cameras and a ceiling mounted microphone. At the entrance to each exam space, there is a monitor to observe procedures, and a camera controller to select the camera to be viewed and recorded, a DVD recorder and a DVD/VHS recorder to record the viewed procedure. At the central core is a 40 inch LCD monitor with input selection to view any exam room or DVD and VHS recorder from any exam room. All exam rooms were equipped with a paging system from a dedicated telephone at the central table.
Each of the five presentation rooms was equipped with a ceiling mounted projector and connection for computer and AV inputs. A custom roll around cart with a 32 inch LCD display, securely mounted on the top surface, provided additional AV support.
