Avidex reimagined SRHD’s auditorium as a flexible, technology-rich space designed to support a wide range of meeting types—from formal Board of Health sessions to public forums and community training events. The room’s modular table layout allows staff to quickly reconfigure seating arrangements to suit the purpose of each gathering, while an adjacent control room provides easy oversight of all AV systems. At the heart of the design is an intuitive Q-SYS control interface, programmed with preset modes for different use cases that adjust audio, video, and lighting settings with a single touch.
The space is equipped with a new high-brightness projector and dual 98-inch Samsung displays, ensuring clear, high-definition visuals from every seat. These displays enhance presentations, video conferences, and live broadcasts, providing an engaging experience for both in-person and remote audiences.
To ensure clear communication, Avidex integrated Shure wireless microphones and table-mounted conferencing units paired with QSC processing for seamless sound reinforcement. The new system eliminates feedback issues and ensures every speaker can be heard with clarity, whether addressing the board or the public.
For public transparency and hybrid participation, the auditorium now utilizes a NewTek TriCaster broadcast system with four PTZ cameras. This setup allows staff to easily switch between camera views and manage live video feeds, providing reliable, professional-grade streaming that connects SRHD’s work to the broader community.
