Using Audiovisual Solutions to Elevate the Hospitality Experience with the Operators Club

 

The Operators Club, located in the West End of Dallas, is a unique meeting and restaurant space inspired by Veryable Operators and hardworking people everywhere who uphold the American tradition of getting it done. The Operators Club partnered with Avidex early in the construction process to create a unique audiovisual ecosystem elevating the guest experience while remaining easy to use for restaurant staff.

 

Envisioning an Elevated Hospitality Experience 

The Operators Club contacted Avidex with a vision for a unique restaurant and event space that catered to the entertainment demands of the hard-working Dallas community, one where patrons could watch their favorite sports teams from every seat and celebrate the wins in life. Within two days of the initial inquiry, Avidex experts were on site with suggestions on how to best make this vision a reality. 

The goal to accomplish here was to make it something that was high-tech, elevated, sports bar. It was going to have a little bit more flair to it, such as the integration with the ticker. Somewhere that you could watch sports from any seat in the restaurant. The Challenge:

Meeting the vision for the Operator's Club required matching the technology needs while accommodating the unique architecture and materials of the classic building.  An AV-over-IP system was put in place for the restaurant displays, which were selected to maximize the viewing distance from every seat in the building, including a 61' ticker screen above the bar.

Three distinct audio zones were incorporated for independent control. Tying it all together is a SAVI control system. Ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience for both staff and patrons was critical. Additionally, the design had to adapt to existing construction and architectural features, requiring Avidex to be agile and innovative in its approach.

The Solutions

Various-sized LG displays, including seven 65" and two 86" screens are strategically placed around the bar and dining area to ensure optimal viewing from any seat.

A sophisticated audio setup with three distinct zones, allowing customized audio levels controlled via the SAVI system. This setup includes Tannoy AMS8DC surface mount speakers and subwoofers for a rich, immersive sound experience.

An app-based, cloud-controlled operating system enabled easy management of lights, sound, and video. Operators Club staff can preview and change DirecTV screens via their phones or tablets, ensuring a user-friendly interface.

A unique 61-foot score ticker display, was installed above the bar to enhance the sports bar ambiance and provide dynamic content, including top ten rankings and marketing messages, every two minutes.

The Results

The integration of these advanced AV solutions resulted in a highly engaging and interactive environment. The ease of control through the Savvy system has been praised by the staff, simplifying daily operations while the latest video and audio solutions enhance the overall guest experience.

Avidex’s commitment to excellence extends beyond the installation. The Operators Club benefits from Avidex's comprehensive three-year Essentials Service Agreement. This support package ensures that any issues are swiftly addressed, and the system remains in optimal condition. The agreement includes regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and updates, providing peace of mind and allowing the Operators Club to focus on delivering an exceptional experience to their patrons.

The project has positioned the Operator's Club as a unique and elevated venue in the Dallas hospitality space, however, the Operators Club is not stopping. Two more phases of construction are on the horizon, an additional rental space for party/meeting events and a gaming space for Operators Club members. Opportunities for additional locations in new states are also being explored.
